Office Trailer Rental Rates by Building Size
A size-specific rental allowance is more useful than one average for every portable office. In published 2026 supplier examples, a 12 × 44 single-wide is about $900–$1,100 per month, a 12 × 60 about $1,100–$1,300, and a 24 × 60 double-wide about $2,300–$2,600. These are one supplier’s building-only examples; local prices and packages differ.
Compare the actual floor plan and billing term with each rate. A model’s nominal length can differ from the enclosed office length, so confirm the dimensions on its drawing. Our portable office guide helps you assess the space before choosing a rental.

Ask which charges are collected at the start and which repeat. The first invoice may contain transport, setup or future removal charges in addition to rent. Accessories can carry their own recurring charge, so a furnished price may differ from the basic building rate.
Make separate lines for the office, furniture, connectivity and other selected options. Then list the one-time transport and installation amounts. Compare office furniture rental only for the pieces your team will use.
Portable Office Rental Budget Calculation
Multiply the rate by the number of billed periods, then add selected accessories, delivery, setup and return. Add taxes and other applicable charges separately. Use the supplier’s actual billing cycle; twelve monthly periods and thirteen four-week periods are not the same calculation.
For a simple illustration, $1,000 per month for twelve months is $12,000 in building rent. Accessories at $100 per month add $1,200. If combined one-time charges are $4,000, the subtotal is $17,200 before taxes and other applicable costs. These inputs explain the arithmetic, not a supplier price.
Office Rental Extensions & Used Purchase Prices
A project extension changes the cost comparison. Request the extension rate and notice terms before deciding whether to keep the office. Moving out and renting another unit can introduce transport and interruption costs that a monthly-price comparison misses.
For repeat use, compare renting and buying using the same expected period. Include repairs, future moves and idle storage in a purchase budget. A used office’s asking price alone cannot tell you whether ownership costs less.
